We’re excited to share with you the new online home of VCU Continuing and Professional Education (VCU CPE). Our thoughtfully redesigned website was created with a focus on making it easier for our large community of learners to enhance their connection to the university and discover programs that move careers, organizations and goals forward.

"Informed by a web audit and built through collaboration, this enhanced site strengthens our digital presence and broadens our reach to adult learners, workforce partners and academic units," said Nina Sims, marketing and communications manager for VCU CPE. 

The new site delivers smoother navigation, faster access and a clearer view of the high-quality programming learners have come to expect from VCU CPE. Whether you’re exploring a new career path, building leadership skills or deepening your expertise in a specialized field, the journey from curiosity to advanced skills is now more intuitive and engaging.

One of the most exciting updates to our website is how our courses are organized. Rather than sorting through long lists of offerings, visitors can now explore programs grouped into nine distinct interest areas. This approach helps prospective students quickly zero in on what matters most to them – whether that’s paralegal studies, leadership, mental health or another professional focus.

“Our redesigned website puts the student journey at the forefront,” said Tinsley Jones, director of VCU CPE. “It empowers prospective learners to discover the right program for them by showcasing the full range of opportunities available through VCU CPE and offering a more accurate, compelling picture of what it’s like to engage with us.”

Another standout feature: Instructors are now prominently featured on course pages - highlighting their expertise, real-world experience and connection to the subject matter. This added feature gives learners a better sense of the depth of knowledge they’ll gain along the way.

The website launch comes at the perfect time. We’re also unveiling our Spring 2026 catalog, packed with programs designed to build practical skills and open new doors. Featured offerings include:

• Series of Play Therapy Courses

Beyond improved usability, the new website represents a long-term investment in how VCU CPE connects with learners, employers, academic peers and community partners.
