Explore our course directory.
Now you can enjoy the same quality as our traditional Test Prep courses from the comfort of your home. The VCU Live-Online Test Prep classes are very similar to the classes we offer on campus. You will benefit from the same curriculum and materials and the same proven strategies to help you succeed on the exam.
With VCU’s Live-Online classes, you are able to interact with your instructor and participate in the class through the use of our online classroom technology. Unlike most online classes that are pre-recorded or prepared in advance, our Live-Online classes feature expert instructors who guide you through each lesson, provide you with in-class learning exercises and answer your questions in real time, just like in a traditional classroom setting.

Technology that provides you with a superior learning experience
The VCU Live-Online Test Prep class uses a learning platform that allows you to view and hear the instructor, share documents, and interact with the instructor and other students. While the instructor uses a microphone to broadcast the lesson, you do not need to worry about adding additional components to your current computer system. Students communicate using chat and quiz features built directly into the virtual classroom.
Participate in your learning experience
The Live-Online Test Prep class allows you the opportunity to interact with the instructor and other students in a variety of ways. You will be able to ask questions and make comments through the course’s chat features. In addition, the course will utilize quiz features that allow you to practice the skills you are developing and answer questions. You will also have access to your instructor by phone and email, just as you would in our traditional classroom programs.
Enjoy the ability to watch previous sessions
As an added benefit, each session is recorded and made available to you to view at your convenience. The streaming video recordings are posted shortly after the scheduled meeting date and remain available for 30 days after the session.
Textbooks and workbooks are included
The Live-Online Test Prep class includes the same textbooks and workbooks as our traditional classroom programs.
In light of the latest COVID-19 developments, the VCU Office of Continuing and Professional Education is closed to walk-ins, and pick up of course materials is not available. Course materials will be delivered directly to the permanent address attached to your registration record. We recommend registering at least four (4) business days in advance of the class start date to ensure timely delivery of your student package. If your shipping address differs from the address on your registration record, please contact our office immediately via email at firstname.lastname@example.org
Software and system requirements
"Our live online class sessions use the Adobe Connect meeting platform. In order to minimize technical issues, we recommend students download the free Adobe Connect desktop application before their first live-online class session. Instructions for downloading the application and using it to access live class sessions and class recordings will be emailed to students after they register for a live-online course. If you have questions about the technical requirements for live-online courses, please email email@example.com for further guidance".
