Mindfulness and Compassion in the Workplace

When we focus our attention through mindfulness practices, we enhance our ability to gain clarity, act with intention, reduce stress, effectively communicate with others and embrace life more fully. Mindfulness is the practice of purposefully paying attention to the present moment. It can be practiced formally through different forms of meditation, and informally through specific techniques we can use as we go about our days.

Mindfulness and Compassion programs are being used in organizational settings around the world from large corporations like Google, Nike and Apple to small businesses and startups right here in RVA. There are decades of research available on the efficacy of mindfulness and compassion practice:
