Introduction to Sickle Cell Disease

Developed by the VCU Department of Internal Medicine’s Sickle Cell Disease Program team and supported by VCU Continuing and Professional Education and LEDstudio, this noncredit course introduces participants to Sickle Cell Disease pathology, complications, pain treatment options, care coordination, and the transition from pediatric to adult services.

Designed to help healthcare workers and caregivers better support those living with this chronic illness, participants will explore the must-know professional basics. Open enrollment is available, and participants have 90 days to complete the course from the day of registration. Some discounts are available.
