About

Cleanroom Training Program

Participants gain direct, hands-on experience in a VCU engineering lab, learning essential cleanroom protocols, safety procedures, and semiconductor fabrication techniques. The program emphasizes tool training, safe chemical handling, and contamination control, preparing learners for technical roles in advanced manufacturing environments.

Exploring semiconductor and micro-fabrication fundamentals, students in engineering and related fields, including Mechanical, Electrical and Computer, Chemical, and Biomedical, can strengthen their resumes for competitive internships and research assistantships.

This program is also open to recent high school graduates (18+) seeking entry into high growth industries and career changers, especially those in engineering and related fields. No prior experience is required. Participants will learn essential cleanroom protocols, safety procedures, and foundational equipment operating skills.
